Akrofu The photo to the right shows the finished school completed this August. It consists of three classrooms, computer/library and teachers store room. The school will be used by 150 primary aged children. It replaces a much older school which was not fit for use as it was about to collapse. The Akrofu community have worked hard over the past few months to meet the set target date for opening. Out of all the Ghana Outlook seven community projects this was the easiest one under taken because of the enthusiastic commitment from the Akrofu community. It cost £8000. We had £2000 from the British High Commission and the roof paid for by the Municipal Assembly of Ho.
On this occasion Ghana Outlook facilitated the involvment of twelve Fire Cadets from Cheshire. Three girls and nine boys made up the youth team.
Here we can Danny and Liam helping with some brick work. Like all Ghana outlook school projects the main work is done before our arrival. The youth team help to finish the school off prior to handing it over completd to the community.
